Carl-Heinz Lieck

Carl-Heinz Lieck

Carl-Heinz Lieck  was born in Jasmitz, Pomerania in 1941. From 1966 to 1971 he completed his studies in art and pedagogy at the universities of Braunschweig and Münster. Since 1965 he works as a freelance artist.

In his works, Lieck combines oil painting with collage using his spatula technique developed by him. With this unusual combination of different techniques, Lieck creates paintings in which reality and dream worlds merge. In addition, Lieck's compositions are characterized by a playful harmony of forms and colors as well as light and shadow.

The unmistakable handwriting of Carl-Heinz-Liek gave him international recognition. His works were equally well received at exhibitions in Europe and America. Lieck lives in northern Germany, where he runs his own studio.
