Sally Barker

Sally Barker

Growing up surrounded by the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside, Sally had a passion for capturing in paint all that inspired her - be that a landscape, colours or even an emotion.

This creativity, expressed in doodles and drawing was a constant backdrop to a successful and enjoyable business career that followed on leaving school.

Forty years later Sally re-immersed herself in her first love and paint brush in hand, the sun rose on a second career. Three years, a lot of fun and one studio build later, Sally is now the fully-fledged artist that she dreamed of in her youth and loves that this job feeds her soul. Sally’s work has great appeal and to her deep delight, has been sought after in two continents.

Inspired by Kurt Jackson and Jack Davis, who use colour and techniques to capture the drama of nature conveying an experience in the moment. Sally works mainly in oils and acrylics and says that every time she paints, she ‘puts down a part of me’ and hopes that wherever her art is hung, it gives as much pleasure to those viewing it as she had in creating it.
