Gary Walton

Born in Worcester in 1962 Gary demonstrated a talent for art from an early age but did not consider pursuing a full time career as an artist and instead worked in a conventional job for several years. Despite this, Gary painted in his spare time and after much continued encouragement from his wife, he eventually decided to take his art more seriously.

Inspired by coastal towns, landscapes and his dreams, Gary creates whimsical art that combines the real and the fantastical. Exploring different media and developing his style, Gary was soon able to turn semi-professional and after a few years of selling to private collectors and a handful of galleries, he was discovered by a fine art publishers and was soon able to pursue his career as an artist full time.

Gary's intention is to create art that makes you smile, a merging of the real and a playful imagination.
