Heidi Langridge

Working from her home studio in the South Downs, Heidi Langridge creates, fresh, vibrant paintings of groups of birds, each of which is set upon a background of a beautifully saturated colour. The artist represents the foliage of the birds’ habitat through textured, abstracted forms focusing the more intricate detail on the birds themselves.

Applying complementary colour palettes, Heidi’s aim is to not be too realistic but rather to celebrate the wonder of these different species of birds through a unique visual language.

“These paintings are a way of bringing birds closer into my life. If there’s a heaven for birds, this could be it.”
