Vichit Nongnual was born in 1971 and studied sculpture at Silpakorn University in Bangkok. Upon graduation, he set up his own studio “Eco-Clay” where his intense concentration on clay forms and modelling later inspired him to produce paintings based on his own creative experiences in 3D. An award winning artist, Vichit is an artist and teacher who resides in Bangkok.

Winning numerous prestigious awards for his work over the last two decades, Vichit's artwork has emerged on to the International contemporary art scene and has featured in many European art exhibitions. He is also a master ceramicist and many of the luxury hotels in Asia feature pieces from his ceramic collections.

He currently specialises in the production of large-scale, thought provoking portraiture paintings that combine screen-printed pattern influenced by his work in ceramics. Using the inner workings and his interpretation of the human mind, he seeks to portray on canvas what the subject may be thinking in that moment. His eye-catching work exudes emotion, captivating and intriguing the viewer.
