With the success of past supercar paintings commissioned by the managing director of those luxury car showrooms in Manchester such as McLaren and Bentley, James felt extremely privileged to be asked once again to create a painting, this time for the 2024 opening of Pagani Manchester.
The brief was to incorporate a portrait of Mr Pagani along with references to the history of the business. James was particularly excited by this commission due to not only his own love of supercars and passion for car design, but also because Mr Pagani after discovering Leonardo da Vinci became fascinated by the connection between art and science. James as an artist and designer fully appreciates Mr Pagani's creative vision. A family-run business, James incorporated members of the family into the montage style painting along with design sketches including an image of Mr Pagani working on his designs, exquisite close-ups of detailed features of the cars and references to Mr Pagani's inspirations.
The painting was unveiled and presented at the launch night.
