Sam Toft

The Mustard family, which comprises Ernest Hemingway Mustard, his wife Violet, their Jack Russell Doris and their many more pets, are the protagonists of Sam Toft's playful pictures. Their lives are set in a seaside town and Sam captures that feel of a coastal breeze whilst applying faded ice cream parlour colours in each scene she creates.

With a mixed-media approach which combines pencil, oil pastel and coloured inks, Sam has developed a unique, instantly recognisable style and has consequently become a highly collectible artist.

Originally studying Business and Social Sciences, Sam decided to partake in several part-time art courses and soon changed career paths. We are really pleased that she did as her art has given and continues to give so much joy to others.
